  • A Construction Management Group International (CMGI) venture-capital-backed start-up focusing on datacenters, cloud computing and outsourced network management solutions.

  • Initiated 35-person West Coast sales operations. Secured multi-year contracts at Top 50 web sites.

  • Helped define sales, branding, marketing, and business development programs. Increased sales, facilities,

  • employee headcount, and revenue that led to an IPO in 1999.

  • Built revenue from 0 to a run rate of $4.1m in Year 1, $10.5m in Year 2, and $49.8m in Year 3.

  • Established NaviSite as a premier, tier-one web hosting, and server farm management company with applications services such as e-commerce, serving banner advertisements and streaming media.

  • As VP of Sales in initial team at Silicon Valley venture-capital-backed start-up, built channel sales force.

  • Secured contracts with Columbia House and DreamWorks.

  • Initiated product awareness programs.

  • Reported to CEO and board (Hummer-Winblad Ventures, Vulcan Ventures, Phoenix Partners, and Intel Ventures).

  • Company went IPO in 1998, raising $238m, but product was too early for market acceptance and was dissolved in 2000.

  • Part of initial sales team for broadcast and cable division.

  • Led sales, marketing, and operations for cutting-edge digital, non-linear, audio and video editing software and system.

  • Grew West Coast team from 2 to 25 sales representatives, sales engineers, and support.

  • Increased sales by 10x increase in <4 years. Sales results: $3m in 1994, $6.5m in 1995, $12m in 1996, and $39m in 1997.
